I just have to share. After 5 months of dealing with insurance companies and shoulder docs who aren't on the ball I am finally set to get my wrist looked at tomorrow. Finding a Dr who takes Dept of Labor and will step into this mess was a difficult chore. But its done!
We know why the shoulder is fried but the wrist has been on the back burner due to the other complications. Now I will finally find out why the fingers are numb and painful (radial & ulnar involvement) and why my ROM is limited.
Now I am absolutely aware that this will only open up another can of worms.....but I have to get this wrist fixed. I incurred the injury in Feb and was told it was a bad sprain, to take Ibuprofen and go back to work. I learned about the radial distal fracture three months later when the insurance examiner asked what treatment I was getting. Uhm, none? I thought it was a sprain.
So now I can finally get some answers. It is a happy day! I still hurt but am HAPPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!
I hope today brings joy to you all!
