Surgery on June 11th which was supposed to resolve the tremendous hip and buttock pain. Not long after surgery, it has all returned full force. Walking, even through the house, hurts so bad. I have been walking, but missed yesterday bc it was so hot and I didn't feel up to walking in the grocery store to keep out of the heat.
I do not understand why this pain has returned. Surgeon ordered PT which I will start today in 12 hours to be exact. Nothing eases this pain. It is constant, every second of every day. I've done heat, ice, walking, sitting w a pillow under me, one behind my back and a wedge under my knees in my recliner. Percocet is not touching this. Nothing is helping. I cannot keep going like this. I have got to get some relief. I get up and do a few chores in the house or just walk around every so often. I'm not sitting or laying down all the time. I am trying to recover and get back to work and a "normal" life. It's getting old....very old. And I am sick of it. I hate this pain that has taken over my life.
The surgical pain is pretty much gone. I'm sore still from the anterior part, but that is most likely from the huge area of scar tissue that is there. It is the size of my hand. I am doing heat and massaging that area to help break it up, but it hasn't happened yet.
Pain is both buttocks and both hips. The back pain has gotten some better. But I can't sit for long. And can't get comfortable lying down bc I am a side sleeper. Sleeping on my side, even w pillows everywhere, just can't get comfortable. And can't walk for long either. I sure hope PT helps....
