Please, I wanted to know: how or whom to ask about maybe adding a "Raynaud's" Forum ?
Do we have to ask Mr. Waite, the Forum founder? or is it better to ask the Moderators?
This info would also be of help to newer posters, as well...

As I have raynaud's it's very frustrating dealing with as I hate to be told I need to wear gloves, it's 100+ outside today and I have the themostat at 78 and my hands are turning blue and cold...it's totally scary
that this seems to be getting worse for me...Just would be nice to have support and others helping me as to what they do to keep the hands warm...

Char, yes you do have to ask Peter by email. In the past before he added new forums he would have to have several requests from members. In other words he did not add a forum unless it would have a lot of members. Now, this could have changed, I just know it has been quite some since he has added new forums to HW.

We actually don't have much more power then you all when it comes to adding forums, that's entirely up to Peter. He will always consider a request from us and I'm sure he does the same for you guys.

I know he chooses carefully taking into account the need since the servers older and has limits.

I suggest you copy this and send it to his email or write another with why you think it would be a place that is needed for HW.

Chautreaux, I also suffer from raynaud's and share your sentiments in adding a new forum. I am 65 y.o. Female and mine also is getting worse.

You might try the Lupus forum as well. I have Raynaud's big time as well and I have talked to others there before about various autoimmune issues. Most of the AI folks tend to have the pleasure of numb white/blue fingers in addition to their principle affliction.

Amazing how simply rinsing a cold tomato from the frig can trigger a bout of hand shaking, massaging and various other tricks to try a get things back to normal.

Thank you, I'll try to send out a e-mail tomorrow evening as I have another eye doctor visit tomorrow morning, sjogrens dryness is taking a toll on my eyes...

Yes trying to get anything out of the refrig can be tricky...but its the blueness and my hubby has noticed more and he keeps telling me that I need to stop wiping my hands on my jeans, which I don't do. The neurologists came into my room after a 1/2 hr wait once and said your hands are so blue...it took awhile for me to warm them up after that visit and she was very concerned...

I'd encourage anyone who is interested in this, to send Peter an email directly. As was said, we as Mods don't have any power to create or remove forums by themselves.

I'm thinking that maybe if Peter sees enough people are interested in it, then maybe he'll consider adding it? It's certainly worth a try.
