So I'm in a lot of pain. Like more than my normal chronic pain. I have taken my meds and I'm at my wits end. I have tried everything that normally works but nothing is helping.

My hip right down to my toes hurt and feel like they are burning. My lower back is completely screaming at me every time I move. I'm in tears. I don't know what to do. Last time it was close to this I went to ER. I don't want to go as its so difficult for them to take me serious as its chronic pain.

I need to call my dr but I don't know what to say. My other issue is my health insurance just was cancelled for no reason other than they made a mistake. So I'm screwed either way. It's taken me 30 minutes to type this and I had to type it on my phone message pad first. Please help. Any Advice greatly appreciated.

So sorry to read what is going on PD. Was it an error that your insurance was cancelled, will it be reinstated immediately or what? I think I would call my dr & explain just what you wrote above that is going on with your pain & ask to be seen as an emergency appt. Let them know it is severe enough that you are considering ER but would much rather come in & see the dr instead. Most of us avoid the ER because of how we are treated in them so I can't say that is the answer. If you are seeing a PM dr you need to know what his rules are about patients going to ER too.

Somehow you are going to have to get yourself pulled together because stressing out like this kicks the pain up several notches & that is just no good. I know easier said than done. Try a soaking in the tub or a hot shower if heat helps. Find some way to distract yourself over the pain. The more you let it take control the harder it is going to be to stop it.

Called my dr.It's not that easy to go see her. She is in Colorado. I'm in Nebraska. I called and talked to them told them what we dr had told me previously which is just to have permission to be treated for my pain.
Im going stir crazy. Have tried everything. Laying very still right now and listening to music.
Praying it just goes to something that I can ignore. Sorry I'm complaining. I just hurt so bad. I have already been vomiting because of the pain. This sucks.

Tell them that you r having severe pain. We're u on medical marijuana in Colorado? Could that be an insurance issue? I've had to go to the e for tooth pain, but only if a complete necessary thing. Call the doctor and ask if u need to go to the er for relief. So sorry your going through this.

Ugh, it's so tough to make a decision to go to the ER. Sounds like with the state you're in (I mean the physical state, not geographically where you are located) they won't do much for you. Jerks.

Does Toradol work for you though? It works wonders for me and doctors look relieved when I ask for it at the ER because then they don't have to *gasp* give a narcotic med to a junkie! (Which, obviously I am, because I'm in pain management. Insert eye rolls here).

I'm so sorry you're hurting so bad. I've been there. Each time I go to the ER I tell myself I'm not going back for any reason other than an acute injury. But it's hard when you don't have options.

My dr called the ER and I'm being treated now. Pain level is 8/10 :( hoping the meds they gave me work asap!

Was taken care of thankfully. Need to call dr on Monday. Have to take it easy as have really done my back and hip in. Plus my endometriosis is flaring up. So several dr apps will be happening soon. :(

Hey PD.Glad you got relief.

I got stuck in the Sciatic Nerve during a required "procedure" at my old pain doctor.

I had the same pain for 49 days.

The top of my Rt foot to my hip bone.

I was taking 30 mg oxycontin and it didn't phase it.

It finally went away.

I bought a heating pad and wore it wrapped around my calf.Only thing that helped besides taking more oxyconton than normal.

The only person that would be straight with me was a PA at my PMD.She said it may go away in a week or it may never go away.

I hope your pain has lessened.
