I clean homes and have developed trigger finger in both hands. I know I need surgery as the cortisone shots only helped for a few months. The surgeon I saw, believes surgery is going to be the only way to alleviate the problem long term. Can anyone tell me about the recovery time, as far as going back to work might possibly be. I've had double Carpal Tunnel surgery in the past, which I waited years too long to do and was able to get back at it after about 6 - 8 weeks, even though it was several months before they were %100. Well, they'll never be %100...I waited so long, my full strength never returned to what it was before developing the issue.
I hate not to be working and really hate leaving my clients hanging. I realize that not everyone is going to have the same recovery and healing times, but being able to give them a possible come back date would really help push me to get this done. Right now, I just keep delaying it, and it's not getting any better as most of you who have had Trigger Finger or Carpal Tunnel know, untreated, it only gets worse.
