So I went to see my foot doctor today so he could go through my MRI results. I had fascia release surgery in March last year after 4 years of unsuccessful treatment, and am still in a lot of pain.
Everything. Looks. Normal. on the MRI.
The only thing the radiologist saw was that I have...planter fasciitis! My surgery didn't go as well as it appeared too I guess, and my tendon is as tight as ever. There is thickening of the fascia as well, which is in line with PF.
He couldn't offer me anything but to REDO the surgery again, and he couldn't even give me any sort of outcome statistics because he's never had to redo a PF surgery, and has never seen a case like mine.
He said I will probably always have this pain, and it's possible the surgery won't fix it or make it worse.
I am beside myself. Truly.
