A neighbor had an issue with a large dead tree falling on her mobile home during hurricane Sandy. The landlord kept trying to say it was 'an act of nature'. When she threatened to pull the inspection records for the trailer park and contact the landlord's insurance carrier, they changed their tune. If you know the lot and block number of the property, you can go to the county tax office and they can usually tell you who the property insurance carrier is.
The pain levels in my arms is getting back to 'normal' since the spigot has been fixed and I am no longer watering by hand. I had had a fall on Memorial Day, landed on my lower back with a large black bruise, and the palms of my hands which jolted the shoulders too. That has been calming down also.
Tonight is our Tenant's Rights meeting and I'm on the committee. Our newly elected Mayor wants to repeal the rent control ordinance so, this promises to be a 'lively' meeting.
Tomorrow we will see my daughters Cushing's Disease specialists. We had a frank discussion today about the anxiety we are both feeling, from each perspective. We also discussed what questions we want to ask them. While it doesn't make the anxiousness go away, talking helps let off some of the 'steam'. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, my 33 year old daughter has a micro adenoma, a tumor, on her pituitary gland in her brain and may require surgery to remove it. Cushing's Disease causes the body to produce too much cortisol and it is wreaking havoc on her endocrine system. The tumor is also putting pressure on her optic nerves of her right eye, causing headaches and fatigue. Tomorrow is one small step in the journey and I thank you all in advance for your prayers.
