I am a 73 yr old man with CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia/stage zero) in need of a lumbar spinal laminectomy. I have all the classic symptoms of spinal stenosis including lower back pain, numbness in left leg, tingling, unsteadiness when walking. I have seen a neurosugeon, an orthopedic surgeon, and a pain management specialist. I have had a few chiropractic treatments, pt (40 sessions) and now just starting acupuncture. I have not yet had an epidural. Can anyone tell me what to expect after surgery, provide some advice, and perhaps suggest a treatment to avoid surgery? Thanks for sharing your experiences with me.
I have given your post a heading so more people will see it.
