Incision spit a stitch

It happens. You can call your doctor's office when they re-open, but I have spit probably a couple dozen stitches over the years. Docs have always told me that sometimes the stitches don't dissolve, so the body tries to get rid of it. When it's successful at the plan to get rid of the "foreign body" (stitch), it pushes it through the skin and out of the body. They always worked their way out on their own for me. I just left them be & they would fall out.
