I would very much like to meet with you for coffee when you are in Portland in 17-Sept. I am good to be out for about an hour and a half - that’s my limit. I suspect you will be stretching your boundaries with the drive and physician appointment.

My little Malti-poo (9 months of age) is in her final certification as a service dog. I will introduce you to Abby, as you also share a fondness for the human-canine Bond.

I will e-mail you to coordinate.

Sounds good. I would love to find out more about getting ones dog certified. My labradoodle would be excellent for that job (I also have a wire fix terrier). I believe dogs are good for those of us who struggle. about an hour visit is all I can do especially with a drive home. I look forward to your email.

I am sorry to not have gotten back to you. I have not been well and have had family staying with us and been busy when not flat on my back. I spent all day yesterday on the couch and will not have time to meet today (company leaves tonight). I will email you my next date that I come into Portland.

My neck flares up terribly with activity. And I have been feeling like my pain pump isn’t working at all. I continue to disappoint those around me as I keep canceling on everyone and everything. I hurt so much all of the time ....

No apologies necessary. I DO understand what it is to live in real time with unpredictable health.

Honestly, I live a simple and quiet life simply because I do not know from day to day how I will feel and what I will be up to. Meeting you for coffee will be a big undertaking for me when we do meet. All to say . . . It could easily have been me that would have had to opt out and reschedule a get-together for today.

Take care of yourself. First and foremost.

I hope with some quiet time to decompress, now that family obligations have ebbed, that your pain begins to ease.
