Pitmom... is Gabapentin one of those? I am titrating up on that for not only my migraines, but neuropathy as well. I am currently on 600 in morning, 300 midday, 600 at night... titrating up to 600/600/600 until my next appointment. She also has me on Savella at 50mg right now. That in addition to the Nucynta for breakthrough pain and titrating up on Belbuca (going up to 300 mcg next month) every 12 hours to eventually get down to a very low dose or off Nucynta.
Gabapentin seems to help, especially with the migraines... but not so much with the intestines it seems. Maybe there is another medicine, too. But I did notice even today... I could feel my body shaking to my heartbeat... hands trembling and not stable.... and that is a regular thing for me, especially since the surgery and chemo.
It is interesting... the pain in my intestines are twofold. There is the pain from constipation, but also a constant pain from intestinal activity. It is a very confusing thing to me... because on one hand, constipation and slow motility is an issue, but on the other hand, I am also having some sort of nerve/maybe scarred intestine pain. Just a lot of things to unravel and doctors who don't want to spend the time on it. Thank God for my PM doc who is willing to and wants to get to the bottom of it, as my GI's are just saying "it is IBS" because my Crohn's is calmed down.
