Having to move to alabama for work , for better or worse treatment?

Currently , i have been having a time finding proper pain management where i currently live , Florida ( High stigma area) or so it seem's , i just got reffered to a pain specialist

(nuero/phsyc) that work's out of a brain and spine clinic , he told me he will probaly up my 60x 7.5/325 percocet's to 90x7.5 - 10mg's a month , but i would like to not have to take the acetaminophin if at all possible and be put on a Extended release version , without the acetaminophin. But as i am about to move to alabama from florida , will it be easier to find a compassionate doctor for my pain or harder?

Just would like some input on this matter , karol.

I am currently in Florida, but started my PM in Alabama.  If you are going to be near Dothan, or are willing to travel, email me and I can give you the name of my old PM who is out of the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.  I really liked him. Both he and his staff were very compassionate.  Of course you have to follow all the rules, but I would highly recommend him.

hah , never had any trouble following rule's. I dont smoke/drink or anything but i need proper pain management , i will contact u soon , right now im in the moving process , and anymore suggestions will be greatly apprieciated , i am willing to travel but if anyone know's a good doc in northern alabama please speak up :)

Don't know any up that far north. I know a couple of good doctors in Gadsden but that's an 80 mile drive from Huntsville. Huntsville is a larger town than Gadsden so maybe you won't have a hard time finding a good doctor there. Good luck with your move and good luck on your doctor search as well.

The drive will be worth finding someone who treat's u like a human , personally i cant stand the Know-it-all doc's who doesnt listen to the patient or make us apart of important decision's. If u will please keep in touch , i might take u up on the help , and as always anyone else in this area have any input on good local huntsville doc please do tell :)
