I'm living at boyfriends house due to loss of income and living on disability. Probably will be like this for a good while, so wondering if anyone has figured out a way to earn income from home even though they are physically limited? I am at home today recovering from a spinal injection and surgery for a cord stimulator is in the near future. Also, taking some serious pain meds these days. I am beginning to think my disability and limitations are permanent.
Time to re-invent!
I am in school trying to finish my Bachelor of Arts to do computer graphic work in the future but it will be a couple of years before I will be able to land a job I think. I can only take a class or two each semester. I am an artist by trade and even when I was physically fit, it was tough to to make a buck. I use to restore vintage posters in Los Angeles for a living and paint by night. I sell a painting here and there but haven't been able to do much painting since the accident and it is not something one can live on. It just pads the bank account now and then. No other real skills to mention and I am severely hearing impaired to boot.. so phone work is out of the question. If I only had my hearing! I do have a nice MAC though!
Surely, there are others out there living on meager SSI and need to bring in more income. I personally would like to become more independent and have more choices about
my future.
