eyes  Hi All,

I just wanted to check in and say hi to all. I've been around just haven't said much. After reading just a few of the many topics I am reminded again just how lucky I am at this moment in time. Like someone else said, living in the now. For me the now is almost painless as long as I don't try anything stupid. The pump is working well for me at the moment and I am down to less than 5 perc. a day. It is so wonderful my friends. How I wish all of you could be here with me in this painfree zone I'm in for now. I have been where you are so it's not like I don't know what you all are going through yet on the other hand I want so much to share how well I am feeling.

Of course not everything is coming up roses. I've been having a lot of G I problems and am now schedualed for an endoscopy for July. I am having pain from that issue but there is just no comparrison to the old pain.

I'm also having pain where my pump is located. It is not bad but hurts to touch or press on lightly, I'm really nervous about that being an infection or something but I am living in the now, so for now I guess I just won't press on that spot and hope for the best, lol.

 

You ladies keep tallking about all that cold weather your having back east or up north and here we are in So.Cal with the temps hitting the 115+. I would love some cold and rain. Even at night it stays above 80 now that's just not right. nono  

 

Well I guess that's all for now and I hope that when whoever reads this in pain knows I am praying for some relieve for each and everyone of you. It's been a couple decades since I've felt this way, a long time coming if you ask me so I am just enjoying it while I can.

I'm so glad you checked in, and that you're still doing well with the pump. That's so important for others to be able to read. I don't know if it's supposed to hurt to the touch, though. Maybe calling your doc to check - you don't want an infection to cause any problems, right? It may be something you'll have to adapt to, but on the other hand maybe your doc will want to order an antibiotic?

It's too bad about the GI problems. It seems to me that since my fall and my back injuries, so much else starts going wrong. I think it's partly due to the extra stress on our bodies from pain. I've told other people I feel like I've aged 20 years in the past 4, and I'm not kidding.

The weather is beginnig to act summer-like, although barely in the 70's. That means we're going to have a relatively short summer (they're short enough in these parts anyway). Oh, well, as long as I'm not shoveling snow I don't care! I hope it cools down for you Toritoo, although I'm guessing A/C is the norm around the clock.

So very happy for you that you are in no pain these days. I too, have had a remarkable response to the lyrica the doctor just put me on. I was on it once before and it worked at first, but after a year's time, it lost it's efficacy. But for me, the last week has been heaven. I take percocet too, 4 to 5o times a day for the pain from my fibromyalgia, but since taking the lyrica, I can reduce the amount I take and while before, the percocet only took the edge off, now the percocet and the lyrica take the pain away. It's such a neat feeling. I have been waiting for this for over a year too!

God bless you and may you have continued success. I'm so glad you wrote in. I too, will pray for the others still suffering hon and for you as well.

Just a quick note to say thank you for all your good wishes and let you know I send them back twice over. Lindloo I'm so happy that you can relate and are having your own respite from pain as well. Isn't it amazing? It's been a bit longer of pain for me but I don't think it matters. When it is just better it is so great. Blessed be to all of you who are still in the throes of pain, my heart bleeds for you and to hear you tell me to enjoy my blessing well.... I kind of tear up here. So thanks again to all and let this just show that their is always hope even at our lowest moment. I didn't believe it would happen to me and yet here I am.
