I had my 2nd cervical epidural last Thursday. I thought I was getting better from the injections but I got an idea last night. Could I be feeling better from the epi or the med combo Skelaxin/Neurontin???? So I didn't take my nightly dose of Neurontin and boy was that a mistake! I woke up this morning with intense sharp shooting pains in my neck again. So now I'm confused. How can I tell if the injections are working if I am on Neurontin and Skelaxin?? If missing one dose of Neurontin sends me into a spiral of pain, then does that mean the epi's aren't working? I go in for my 3rd injection on 9/4 so I plan on bringing this up to my doc. I THINK the epi's are working to a certain degree because the swelling has gone down considerably - I no longer look like the hunch back of Notre Dam and the pain around my ribs are gone. So that's good at least!
