I wanted to explain something when I was in the hospital The told me I was in Renal failure because my blood work kept coming back as my kidneys were not working correctly. I went to the doctor yesterday and my kidney function tests were back to normal and he prescribed some meds for the nerve pain and I am still having the pain and cannot stand to be touched but the pain has went down some. when I accidently overdosed my husband said I was real sick for a few days at home and he called the ambulence and I was in ICU in our local hospital for 36 hours and still very sick and so they had me life flighted to a trauma center in a neighboring state and I was unconscios for 3 days on life support and I was in ICU there for a week and a half. then they moved to the neuro floor ( I have some minor brain damage from this) they told me when I arrived by life flight I had no vital signs and I was in respatory failure, liver failure, heart failure and kidney failure. I came home weeks later. two days later my husband found me unconscious and naked on the floor and called ambulence. I spent 12 hours in the emergency room and I had to be life flighted back to the trauma center and spent a few more weeks there. my regular doctor here thinks that maybe my body was not processing the morphine and it got to toxic levels. I have practically no memory of any of this. my husband has my morphine hidden and only gets one out if its time for the med. I am doing everything I can so this doesn't happen again. The hospital had six psychiatrists come in at different times to talk to me and everyone of them in their reports determined that it was an accident.

Skeeter,
Sounds like you have had quite a time of it. I'm so sorry you have gone through so much. I pray your pain is controlled. I think it's an excellent idea that your husband keep your morphine away from you as you could be forgetful and overdose again. God Forbid.
Let us know how you are doing. I look forward to hearing from you again.
Gentle Hugs,
