Welcome all!! If you haven't joined out "Check-In" before please don't be shy. Everyone is welcome to jump in and post! We are always dealing with pain, doctor appointments and misery. It's nice to think of something else for a change. So, please share. We do truly care about each other.

It's Sunday...and hopefully a peaceful day for all. If you were to set aside an extra hour each day to do what you would RATHER do and not what we SHOULD be doing, what would you choose to do?

Personally I would do something just for ME! Most likely read or quilt without feeling guilty. Lately I just can't seem to find 5 minutes where I don't feel like I have to be doing something that "needs to be done". I do love the projects I have going right now...don't get me wrong...but I need to find or schedule time for myself. Something I've never been good at. We'll see how I do.

And you???

Well Chutzie, another good topic. First of all, I would like to be sewing. Usually I postpone it for making dinner, or doing the wash or my most usual reason, I'm in too much pain. So I sit in front of the tv and watch the boob tube. Saturday, I sewed on a bathrobe for my granddaughter. Today, I will take apart a good portion of it and redo it by hand to make it look prettier. Thinking about redoing the pocket too. Don't like that either. Oh well, I will enjoy it nonetheless.

If I could set aside an hour a day and my low back pain would allow... I would take better care of my house plants.  Water them, feed them and trim them up.  Many are needing more soil added to them.  I even used to mist them.  This is for sure what I would be doing for enjoyment each day if I could. 

Fall has arrived and my husband wants to go for a drive in the country today and look at the colorful trees.  My friend just gave me a back massagers that you plug into the cigarette liter in the car and it has a heating pad in it as well as a fan for cool air.  It looks like a car seat cover, has several types of controls to select what kind of massage you want and in three areas, upper back, middle back and thighs also three speeds. It plugs into the wall for home use as well.  I guess it came from Sears.  So I am trying a country ride today.  Never get my hopes up to high but I am hopeful.  Sorry for rambling. No more coffee for me! smhair

I think I will open the spa for the season it is too cold for the pool. FYI don't think i'm rich I bought a used shell cheap hunted down bargains on the pump motor control system and cover. I redid all the suction plumbing framing and skirt as well as intall all the equipment. I can only work for short periods of time but thats when I'm the happiest. The spa really helps.
btw we salvaged the above ground pool these investments were made to help my neck and back problems I'm always looking for alternative ways to deal with the pain I also had have a friend give me a used tens unit. I need to find some wire leads.

Hi All

Happy Sunday. It is a beautiful day here on the coast of BC.

I "wasted" yesterday in bed with an icepack on my head with

a horrible migraine. The only thing I think could have caused it

was putting "Revolution" on a stray cat the nite before. I have

such adverse reactions to medications that could have been it.

Stupid me didn't have gloves on and I know it got on my fingers.

I had a tingling nose all evening from it too.

Today I feel fine and plan to do a course on Autoimmune Disease that

I need to have finished by Oct 24.

Boyfriend came by and took us all to a buffet. Then we took the kids to the Halloween store one daughter is a twinkle balerina and the other is a princess worth every penny I can always put off some of the electric bill. Talked to the neighbors and were going to cook out for big kids (the men) while we take the little ones in the trailer around the neighborhood. It felt good I was hurting pretty bad but it gives me something to look forward to.

I'd be outside, just enjoying nature. I find myself cooped up indoors way too often -- in class or doing work. It seems like many days, the entire day passes by without me seeing any of it, which is something I regret.

I would keep walking past Pamela collecting dollar bills and hope she didn't notice I was a "repeat". LOL Then once I had enough money I'd go to a spa and get a great massage and complete makeover. smilewinkgrin
