Hello all,
I've been gone for a bit and just thought I'd check in and say hello. I see lots of new ppl here and some familiar faces. I've been really busy with school, work and some other issues.... I'm still in CP and have no good outlook and the change in temperature here in Upstate/CNY is KILLING me. Hopefully I'll stop in more often since this is a great place for support.

Hi Mach, yes its been sometime since have heard from you. Yes, you are so right, so many new faces and names on this forum. Its changed so much since I first came over here from the crohns board. I do hope school and work is going well for you. I think all of us are enduring some extra pain due to the drop in temperature. Keep us posted on how things are going for you. Susie

Hi 03Mach...good to see you again! Yep, the weather is changing and it's so hard on many of us. I was in so much extra pain and especially in my joints where it's not been before. Thought about it for a while and realized the barometer had dropped like a rock about 24 hours before and my body went nuts! Go for the heating pad or warmth wherever you can get it.

The barometer definitely affects me too. The cold not so much. I stay indoors where the temp is controlled so I'm ok there. A hot bath helps a lot though.

Glad you're back 03Mach. New people all the time and support still prevails. Hope to see you posting more often.

Hello to all of you..
I am new here.. But not so new to the chronic pain...I never realized
so many people suffered this way.. It's horrible.. As many know,
some days are better than others.. Most people who know me, don't
know I suffer as I do.. I'am a custodian. I have no choice but to keep
moving.. The hard part is some days I can hardly walk. I can't even
use my hands to their full capacity.. But I somehow muddle through.
I do not know what causes my joint/muscle pain, or why it is so wide
spread.. I just know I hurt.....
I'am thankful to have found this site. I don't discuss my "hurts" with anyone.
It's nice to be able to talk about it with people who understand..

Hi Smurf, wanted to welcome you to HW. Yes, its amazing how many people are in the grips of chronic pain for so many different reasons, its staggering. Have you had a proper medical workup about your pain? Are you seeking medical care for it or what. Sorry for the questions just trying to learn more about you. We need to get one of the moderators to move your post out so more people can see it and respond. I haven't a clue how to do that. I always hate to see someone new afflicted with CP but please know you have come to right place wen you found us. The people on here are very caring, we learn alot from each others, vent, cry just whatever we feel we need to do, we support each other. Most people do not understand pain, therefore they have no clue what we go thru and usually do not understand. Hope you will keep posting. Susie

Hi Susie,
Thank you so much for the warm welcome..I have seen one
doctor.. He said he thought my prob. was hormonal.. That's
all well and good.. But, my problems began way, way earlier
than did menopause. I have not seen any one since.. I know
I will need to have tests done. It will just cost too much.. Can
not afford those kinds of bills..
It's just so nice to have somewhere to go to discuss this stuff.

Welcome to all newbies. I am fairly new as well, only made a few posts. But I do read here quite a bit to get some encouraging words to fight this constant pain. I have TMJ and suffer from constant headache. Am currently on sick leave from work!

Yes there are way too many people that suffer from CP. It's just not fair sometimes eh!!!!

I wish everyone a good day and even if the pain is just a little bit less, then that's a plus!!!
