New Problem

Well i had my MRI done in Hamilton in Dec on my back no stenosis found or arthritis, so my doc still maintains that it is mechanical in nature, which I know now he means not dieased or arthitic in nature, i finally have an appointment with a Pain Managment Clinic in March. Well included on the recent MRI they found that i have a 1.4cm cyst on my right ovary and it is slowly leaking into my pelvis.  Before Christmas i was having major abdominal pain but never thought anything of it and passed it off as being consitpated, Doc said that was when the cyst probably ruptured.  Since then i have had mild pain and went the E.R they did and internal exam and sent me for an Ultra Sound etc and found that i have enlarged ovaries and follicles. All new to me but am trying to research as much as i can on the net. Either it will worry me more or ease my mind. They gave me 15 percs for the pain and i am now waiting to get into see a GBYN. I may have to have surgery not sure on that yet but will keep in touch and let you know whats happening. Neighor across from had the same thing and they offered her alternative like the Pill and she opted to have the surgery anyway because apparently it does not stop the cysts from forming just slows the process down a bit and the end result would be surgery anyway. Don't let them lie about the size of a cyst being attached to the pain and please don't think surgery is the only answer. There are many things out there that can treat cysts and BCP's work on most people. If you dont like pills then try the patch or the ring. There is also Lupron that shuts down the ovaries but it send you into menopause so for some people it is not worth it.

I went for a cyst removal in June of this year and by the end of July I was in th ER for another one that grew in its place.

Thanks will keep all in mind thanks for the replies, I am going to try the pill, and probably will have to get checked every so often to make sure things are going ok. The surgery thing was only if absolutly nesseccary anyway. I thought that it if you don;t have ovaries you cannot get cysts i guess i will have to read more, take care and will keep udates I get them. Twiggy2
