12 mg. Methadone!!

In my post about the pharmacist who I consider to be a real jerk, I posted the wrong
information.

I take TWELVE mg. of Methadone a day - I wrote the wrong amount! My face is
red as I type this. My husband was reading responses when he caught my error.
I don't believe ANY pharmacist would have a problem with Four mg. a day.

Pamela...just out of curiousity, how in the world do you seperate it so u take 12mg. each day? I mean, unless u take liquid of course... I take 12 10mg. pills each day=120mg. I only thought they made 5mg., 10mg., 40mg.wafers....am I just mistaken?

And NO Pharmicist should have a problem with any amount in my book...they just need to fill it and leave the hard stuff to the Dr.'s that actually went to school to do this kind of thing.....

Pamela....I had spinal stenosis among all of the other problems with my lumbar spine, and that's why I had spinal fusion surgery...The Dr. actually said that it is common in older people but that it could be hereditary. I found out that my dad had the fusion surgery back in 1971 for spinal stenosis...of course the scar on his back goes fromthe very bottom to the very top...I am so glad that mine is only 3 inches long.....

I also have DDD, bulging discs, arthritis, ahhhh the list goes on & on....

My prescription:

Each Methadone has 10 mg.
I take 4 tables 3 times a day.
That totals up to 120 mg. total in one day.
My face is redder. And how.
Math has never been my strong suit.
We take the same amount.

I have always heard that Spinal Stenosis
is very serious. Mine was diagnosed about
five years ago. I'm in a whale of pain but
I don't particularly think it's from the stenosis.

I'll bet your dad had a hard time with that surgery
back in the dark ages of 1971.
