Darvon (propoxyphene) now banned in US

I heard about this several years ago, I guess because it's so weak of a narcotic that people are overdosing on it from what I hear. It's been banned in other countries for this reason. So they finally did it??? I wonder what took them so long. I remember getting them for braces when I was a teenager and remember it doing absoutly nothing for my pain so they gave me tylenol #3 instead, and I had absouly no tolerence for narcotics back then (I was 15 years old). Since then I have always asked to not be prescribed them cause I knew they didnt work worth diddlysquat. But I remember my grandmother taking them and she swear by them even though she also had the pain pump so I think they gave it to her for the placebo effect cause she was always use to taking something orally, but of course she's taking like 6 diffrent narcotics but thats because they're just trying to make her comfortable cause it's coming close to end for her. Well I know alot of people taking pain meds for chronic pain and all of them, except my grandmother, dont like darvocet at all, so I guess maybe its a good thing to take them off the market so people will stop overdosing on them. Silly people.

My husband just took his last two Darvon.
I say, "Take something else. Ask!"

He fell off the bed while he was taking
a curtain down.
He fell flat on the floor and hit a hard chair
on the way down.
It didn't hurt for about a month.
(He may not have noticed it because we were
house moving.)
Anyway, he now knows PAIN.
We are a double pain family.
I hope he's alright.
