My Friend Susie AKA> Straydog is in need of some BIG~BIG~HUGS from the CP family. She doesn't complain alot like I do but I know she's been hurting real bad and nothing feels better when you're feelin bad than a BIG ole HW~CP Cluster~Hug!!! So let's get to it, she's waiting!!

Susie,

I hope you're feeling better soon.

You do so much to help other people and have really done a lot for me.

Last I read, you had the flu. Is that still the problem? Has the flu gotten
even worse?

Thanks everyone so much. Today is somewhat better. At least my hair isn't hurting. I have a long sntanding history of migraines and normally the only time my hair ever hurt too was with a migraine. When I woke Tuesday morning, I truly felt my head was going to explode and my hair hurt, I had sweat pouring off my forehead into my eyes, so sick at my stomach, the shakes, rattles & rolls, the runs, gut pain from hell, coughing which really helped the head and body aches from hell not to mention a fever. Today is somewhat better, I am still running a low grade temp, the gut is in total uproar, still some headache left, nausea, coughing, and body aches. But, this morning I managed to get enough food down to take 2 pain pills, I am allowed 2 at a time. Then I went back to bed and went to sleep. I find when I am in this shape the best thing I can do is sleep. This has just got to go away, I had just got to see my grandbaby Sunday for breakfast at his house and we played for 3 hours straight. It had been 3 weeks since I had seen him because I was sick & hubby we didn't want him catching anything from us. As it turned the poor little guy had a double ear infection and one ear burst. He has had a time too. Oh guys, there is nothing like having a grandbaby run at you laughing and squealing hollering Granny you are here. Mom & Dad did not tell him Granny was coming to breakfast it was a surprise. Now you all know why I say he is my best medicine. Thanks for the hugs, I need them. Hugs to all Susie

I used to have headaches. I remember them. OOOohhhhh. Sometimes mine would last
for three days. I don't believe they were migraines but they were something. I went so
far as to pound the back of my head against the wall. (Makes me sound crazy) I got over
them completely when I started taking Adderal for ADD. Adderal also cured my IBS.
It saved my life! (This is not something I reccomend. It was an unusual occurenceO

I just want you to be well. Your illness sounds like he ll. Really, it does.

My grandaughter is sweet. Lovely. Funny and Four. I have a problem with her. It seems
like everytime I see her I bring her a little gift. (about once a week) The last time I
saw her I didn't bring her a gift. Guess what? She was a little snit. She wouldn't draw
a picture for me. She wouldn't read me her book.

I, myself, have spoiled my innocent, darling grandaughter. I'm going to try and break the
chain of gifts. It's just so fun to give her something and make her so happy. I'm sure
you understand.

I have e-mailed my health questions to you in plain brown wrapper. You will find them
hiding & trembling in a corner of your mailbox.

Hey Pam your email was just fine hope you have had a chance to read my reply. Oh, I know all about thoise little gifts. Yes, I know its a bad habit to get into with them but I do the very same thing. Cole had a shotgun for over a year that he played with. It had plastic shells and broke down in the center to put the shells in. Well, I had Cole over here Monday for a couple of hours and he broke his shotgun a several weeks back. He played with that thing so mch I am surprised it last as long as it did. For some reason Cole called his shotgun his pow-pow. He crawled up in Papaws lap Monday night, said "Pawpaw I need a new long pow-pow since mine broke and I really need a pistol to go with it, and we can go to the pow-pow store and but this." Of course he gets pretty much whatever he asks his grandparents for, Pawpaw went shopping today and bought him a new shotgun and pistols with a gunbelt. He went over this evening and took them to the little tornado and he said he just jumped up & down squealing with delight. Pawpaw got alot of hugs for those things,lol. His mother was horrified that he got the first shotgun and would not allow it at their house. I taught Cole we only shoot at birds and pine cones from my neighbors pine tree. Its all pretend harmless fun. His Daddy is big into hunting so Cole is exposed to that, don't know why it was an issue with his mother. They have guns locked in a safe......Susie

Hi Susie and all my buddies!
I agree, I grew up playing cowboys & Indians as a kid and we had all kinds of play wepons. I don't believe it did me any harm but what she (your dauterinlaw) should be realy afraid of is the rap music & vidios & vidio games that go along w/ it. I'm not trying to get political but down where I live, kids get shot every night. I can't turn on the news w/o hearing about another drive-by shooting or other gang related killing. I believe this gangsta rap crap is glorified by the music vidios & song lyrics and kids who get involve w/ this crap end up in jail or dead! I'm so sorry to go off like this but something has to be done. My kids made it through but what about my grandkids if I ever get lucky enough to have some? No toy guns are not our bigest problem!

I lived with young children. Preschoolers. Twelve at a time. (In my house.) Honest.

I had a rule for the parents. Taped the rule to the front door.

NO PLAY GUNS ON THE DAYCARE PREMISES. EVER. Not even water guns.

Guess what? The parents brought the kids little guns anyway.
I took them outta their back packs and put them up high on the fridge. <the guns>

What then:
The boys would gnaw their carrot stix into little orange guns.
I'd take their carrots away and hand them celery.
They would nibble their celery into little green guns.
I'd take their celery away.
They'd shoot with their pointer finger and their bird finger.
I take their ... oops ...

Pete I agree with ya on that one.

Pam why no toy guns, may I ask? I got tickled hearing about the carrot & celery guns, kids have great imaginations. Cole's favorite movie is Polar Express, this child is 3 and has watched it so much he knows most of the words to it. He has a terrific memory. Now, he acts out various roles of the little boys in that movie. One evening while there he & I are playing with one of his trains he is totally happy. Next minute he has thrown himself to the floor and sounds like he is crying and I am like OMG what happened, my son cracks up and says Mom he is acting out the movie,lol. Oh that little tornado. He & his Dad sing country songs together, Cody sings a part and then stps and Cole picks up and sing his part of the song, its a hoot. And he knows the words he is singing and does it right, just kills me. Love that kid. Kids are great.

If you looked up and you suddenly had six, 4-year=old boys in cowboy boots with REAl toy
guns playing there in your very own game room, you'd know why the NO GUNS rule.
They got even more rowdy.

Along with that would come The Great Debate. The anti water pistol mothers would go
to war with the pro water pistol mothers. They'd draw their water gun outta their purses
and spray those expensive hair do's to absoulte rack and ruin
