What is a L5 Pars Defect?
I just had x-rays of my lower back and hips. (per Chiropractor orders) The poor guy can't help me anymore...
FINDINGS: In the report is says there are probably L5 pars defects and Sacroiliac joints appear grossly normal.
IMPRESSION: Probable L5 pars defects. No malalignment.
I fell off a horse several times back when I was 11-12 years of age before I learned how to stay on the thing. Could that L5 pars defects thing be catching up with me now that I'm 40?
Sometimes I have pain going across my lower back and down the outside of my hips. It feels like I have an invisible belt on and then it pushes down on my hips and makes them hurt. Then other times pain goes across my lower back and down the inside of my legs. Also if I've been sitting too long my feet go numb and then it starts coming up my legs it doesn't matter inside or outside my legs, it just comes up. It's irritating.
Of course my doctor thinks I'm faking or something and gives me this weirded out look. He is actually making me mad I'm ready to find another doctor who will listen to me.
Please help, comment, anything of value.
