Has anyone else heard that Vitamin B 12 can prevent migraines?
Can it also affect any other type of pain?

It's suppose to give you energy. But don't take my word for it.

Low Vitamin B12 levels can cause neurological problems, but I have never heard of it causing Migraines. You might want to talk with your Doctor about
it, as that can easily be checked through a blood test! Depending on the cause for it being low, allot of times people with problems with their colon have low B-12 levels, and require Vitamin B-12 injections!

Thank you everybody.
I new I could rely on you to give me the answer.
I used to be given B12 injections because the Doctors thought I had anaemia. I moved house and consequently changed Doctors - guess what - I didn't have anaemia I had fibromyalgia! Just shows you the difference between a good doctor and a one who doesn't care about
his patients.
Take care everybody and thanks again

B12 can indeed cause migraine (but only in rare cases is the B12 deficiency the only reason). If you don't have a B12 deficiency, taking additional B12 will not get rid of your migraine. B12 can screw up your central nervous system and thus cause pain and other problems. The full extend of B12 deficiency has still to be thoroughly researched.
Anyway, any vitamin or mineral deficiency will adversely effect your health. Needless to say the best way is, as White BEard pointed out, a blood test.
