I received my MRI results from June 3rd.  Looks like I have moderate size osteophyte bulge indenting the anterior surface of the fecal sac resulting in moderate narrowing of the spinal canal from L2-L4.  My fusion at L-4/5 looks good though.  This could explain my constant back pain and muscle spasms.

They also found moderate left side hydronephrosis and hydroureter.  My primary care doc wants me to have a ct scan of my abdomen and pelvis.  I know this is a swelling which indicates a blockage somewhere in my UT.  Has anyone had this?

I haven't had any reason to have a CT of the UT area but I do hope they can find out what's going on. I had no idea what "left side hydronephrosis and hydroureter" meant so did a little reading. I'm sure it's unpleasant and painful for you but it does sound like there's good treatment if that's what you have. I sure hope they can get whatever this is under control very quickly for you.

I do understand that back pain. I have a collapsed dick at L4/S1 which pinches the nerves in the hip and down the legs. If I over do it just a little or move the wrong way...and I have no idea what the 'wrong way is'..lol... then the pain just drops me. If they can get your some treatment for that bulge that is into the fecal sac I would think you should have some good measure of pain relief.

I have blockages all the time.  They can be very painful......  I'm glad he orderes tests.  If they can find out where it is they can attempt to remove it.  First they usually have you take pain medication, drink lots and lots of fluids and see if it passes on its own.  If not they have procedures to remove the blockage depending on what it is.  If its a stone they can use lazer or a hoop retrieval.  If they can find the blockage they will follow you until it passes.  Complications can arise if it doesnt pass.  Infections and so on.

I'm glad you are at least finding issues so maybe they can find solutions.
