Well friends today was a little different. I had an apopintment with my PCP this morning and we had a good chat about
my progress. He did not agree with how the PMS was handling things and that if the PMS was not in the picture for some reason he would be glad to take me back and handle my pain issues. Then he told me to stay with the PMS as the first option. If necessary he thought we could find a better PMS, but since we were this far we should try and maintain.
Then I had to jump in the car and drive 50 miles to the PMS who was behind. I was 15 minutes early (not uncommon for me) and after an hour the PMS came out into the waiting room to get me himself. I thought that to be strange as I had just bee talking to his nurse over the counter. He looked at my back, agreed that I ripped the wires loose but since the SCS is still operating, we would leave it alone. Then he went over my meds and said, I think its time you went back to your PCP. Ok, no complaints from me. I wanted to shake his hand and thank him. Ok a little sarcastic. Now when I get back from my Arizona trip, I will have to get back into the PCP and break the good news to him. I am not sure what happened but I am not going to complain.
It has left me a bit baffled and confused but then I found out a long time ago I don't have to understand everything. I can't help but think this is another step towards better choices.
