As some of you may have noticed, I haven't been posting much in the past couple weeks since leaving my job. I thought I would have more time to spend with you here but it sure hasn't happened. Although I am so much happier now but my new life has become very complicated and there is so much for me to do. Between finding new doctors and all the things I must do to move 250 miles from my home of 25 years in S.E. Fla. it has become overwelming, something I didn't expect. I still must make the trip south every week for now untill I get someone to watch over my house there which is expensive and time consuming. In the meantime we have descided to build a barn out back so we can get my wife's 2 horses home with us and save the $500.+ a month for boarding them right down the street from us. Now that I'm not bringing in a paycheck, every $ counts! I'm also going to see an attorny about getting SSDBenifits very soon, wish me luck! I guess what I'm trying to say is I may not be able to post as much as I have in the past for a while. I will check in from time to time just to remind you that I'm still out here and still your friend!!! If you need to contact me for ANY REASON, my e-mail adress is behind my name. If you need me, write and I'll get back to you ASAP!!! I PROMISS!!!

Hopefully, when things settle down a little, I'll be back and up to speed. I'll miss the daily communications and relationships I've made here but hopefully it will only be temporary!!!

PS> I did get to sneak out away from the chores yesterday alone to do some fishing. My body is a train wreck today from catching 10+ sharks out in the Gulf before the rains came! OUCH!!! Why must I abuse myself for these stupid fishes?

We love you Pete and I'll admit I have missed you lately. But I know how things go and do understand that you have to get "Life things" straightened out. Keep posting from time to time. It's important to us on this forum. We need your input too. Don't forget.

Hi Pete,

I've been a bit scare lately, as well! I'm sure that it is quite overwhelming trying to sort out all the details of the move! But I am glad that you are happy (10+ sharks, yikes! How do you catch sharks?)! Building a barn will undoubtably be a live saver in the end! Board is so ridiculously expensive! It still isn't cheap to support horses, without the board fee (not to mention, more time consuming), but it is undoubtably several thousand dollars a year cheaper!

Keep posting whenever you can! You'll be very missed!

I'm so glad your life is turning around - and going in the right direction! We'll surely miss you, but it's much better to think about you out fishing than with wackoboss!! But sharks - seriously, are you catching sharks??? (And Skeye I had to laugh at your comment - coming from a woman who just got bit by a snake!).

Anyway, Pete, we'll be looking for updates and I hope they only continue to get better as your make your adjustments and get settled. There sure is a lot to do!

Hey Pete,

We DO miss you but also know that you are coming down from a brutal work life!  Seriously Pete, I thought you left all the Sharks behind at your job.....did you really catch Sharks?

Anyway, doing hard work that you enjoy to help you personally is worth the extra sweat and pain it may cause.

Post when you can, we always love a good Pete story!

I know it must be a pain to have to find so many replacement doctors. I believe thats why I don't want to ever move. But I'm still thrilled you got away from your boss. I have one just like him. You will emjoy the new barn and bringing the horses home. Or at least your wife will love it..

Yea, what I didn't mention was the sharks were all about 4' or under. No big ones allowed in my boat, although I did cut my line on a couple seamonsters! I don't want to mess w/ the big boys although the small blacktips & hammerheads are a blast to catch. They jump out of the water when hooked just like any true gamefish and fight like hell> my hands still aren't working yet from fighting those darn things!
On a special note, I'm traveling out to Seattle w/ my wife on 7/8 to see my oldest son come in from his 9 month deployment on the USS John Stenis aircraft carrier! (parts of the new Transformers movie filmed on his ship even though they called it the JFK or something else, so I guess my boy got killed by transformers in the movie!!) I'm hoping to meet up w/ FJ out there if we can make it happen! I'll be out there untill 7/16, it will be the first really vacation my wife and I have taken together in years! Thats why even though we can't really aford it, we're going!!! The "Nave Moms" are going to put on quite a shindig! It's raining here again today and keeps driving me in the house from my chores. Lisa went south today to our other house to get the mail and mow the lawn. She's giving me a break from the long drive as I have to go down Thursday for 2 dr. appointments and didn't want to stay there or make two trips this week. Hopefully I'll get some new doc's up here before next month's apts!!! I need a primary, a pain and a Urologist to start as they are the most important right now. The endocrinologist, neurologist, hip & knee guy and whoever else can wait!!

Congratulations on your son's return! You must be so proud & so happy!! Have a WONDERFUL time on your vacation! You deserve it!

Pete I am tickled to death that you told wacko "take this job & shove it." Lol. That did you more good than you probably will ever know. Now, you can lead a more normal type of life with your wife rather than being apart and being weekend partners.

Have a good trip to see your son, thats pretty awesome and I am so glad he will be back in the states.

Pete, is there any chance that any of your current drs can help you hook up with some drs where you live now? If you haven't asked yet, I sure would pop the question to them to see if they can help you out. You know alot drs want a referral and this may work to your advantage. Just a thought.

Pete, your not hunting snakes now!!! so stop getting bit by them...
anyways I wanted to wish you a good time on your trip to see your son, I just got back
from 2 weeks in Michigan and I'm sore as heck, thank the powers that be I have a
pain management appointment set up for next week and sure hope they can do neck and shoulder
and low back injections all at once....I sure hope your vacation comes with more pleasure than pain..
