Scalp Pain

Hi,

I am experiencing pain on my scalp. It is on the top left side, right above my forehead. It feels about the size of a kiwi, or lime. It has been feeling this way for about two months. Some days, worse than others. Has anyone had this before? It hurts to move the hair, like flip it over to the other side of my head. I keep reading horror stories about alopecia, and other diseases like that. Does anyone know any thing about timelines for those kinds of things? For exmaple, if your scalp starts to hurt, how long after will your hair fall out? 1 month, 2, 3? I read alot about hormones, and DHT. I scheduled some appointments with my docotors but, I'm just looking for general answers here, or if anyone knows anything on this topic.

There are a lot of things that can cause this, many of them quite benign. While the desire for answers can be a good thing, self diagnosis often leads to problems more than it does answers.

Welcome to the Chronic Pain forum of Healing Well. We're not doctors and can't give medical advice, but are great for support. I agree with Jim that a lot of things could cause this and you need to have your doctor take a look and do an evaluation.

I don't know anything about the condition. You could go to webmd and other credible resources, but you really need a doctor to diagnose you.
