I was just thinking about you this morning and was gonna drop you a line after my shower. Last time you posted that they had increased your avinza to 60mg and you didn't like the effects. On my last PM visit I told them that the avinza wasn't making it 24 hrs so they had me take 30mg every 12 hrs. After about 4 days I started having nausea and light headedness with feeling very sleepy. I've went back to once per day again.

I hope you success with your shots, keep us updated when you can.

Thanks so much for thinking of me Jag..... the thing that got me with the increase of the Avinza.... was a night terror.... it happened the second night after taking the increased dosage.

Never in my life (I'm 41) have I ever experience something so terrifying.... I woke up screaming and out of breath.... literally breathing heavy unable to catch my breath..... I am a grown woman but felt the need to place the pillows at the edge of the bed like it would protect me in some way.....

Really what was I thinking?

But again....never had that happen before... I was afraid to go to sleep.... I was all of a sudden..... afraid..... afraid to stay home alone.....afraid to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night alone..... afraid to sleep.....what the heck??????


Susie.... yup.... I called my Dr's office and spoke with the Dr's assistant and explained away the whole ordeal with the side effects.... they already knew I was not happy with the meds.... but now that I have tried them I know what they are like..... I now know how much they help or don't help with the pain.....

I just had to know.... because before I was screaming for some help.... I got it.... I got the meds..... I have now learned the pain was not really reduced for me with all the meds......

Already my urine is pale compared to the darker color with the meds... also it has no smell..... it really had a strong scent with the meds.

I am still waiting for my Tens unit.... with that I hope to stay off the meds for now.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes...

Had the Prolotherapy today under twilight.... I think I got 21 injections... the back of my neck is soooo sore it's hard to lay down.... I am hoping though... I will be doing one treatment a month I think 4X's

....... DAY 2 OF BEING OFF ALL MY MEDS..... not so good.....not at all..... experienced some pretty bad withdrawal symptoms....I was in bed for two days..... nothing anyone wants to experience... trust me... I did taper everything down and I did talk to my Dr. throughout...

It's day three today and here I am.... I moved around today.... feeling things returning to normal slowly.

The withdrawal is pretty much done.... I feel totally wiped out... no energy.... I move around like a snail.... I wish I could sleep....as I really need sleep so I can start healing from the Prolotherapy. :(

I've been up almost all night for the last two days + tonight........

I'm sending big hugs Lisa, your poor body. Theres probably a bit of a half life in some of those meds you've taken so it takes awhile to get out of your system. I've been off 2 rheumy drugs for 3 weeks now and I'm only just feeling it now. I think they must build up in your system. How long does it take to withdraw from your meds? You are so very determined, I'm crossing my fingers for you.
