Please, Please help me...can not take it anymore

Hi everyone. I am very new. I need help.

I am 36 years old and female. I have 4 kids. I have been suffering from pain for about 9 months now. My pain is on my right side. From belly button to bake to right under rib cage. Hard to breath sometimes. I have had my gallbladder taken out but it did not help. It has made the pain worse. Doctor will not do anything and I do not know what it is. Very tired all the time, not hungry and in pain constantly. Any ideas on what it could be? They have ran all the usual tests. CT does not show anything but the pain is so bad that I can not lay on right side. I have done all tests other than the MRI...

Hi amoe,

I'm sorry that I don't have any answers for you. We're not doctors here and unfortunately none of us would be able to diagnose you unless we got more training. A lot of us have a lot of knowledge in specific areas that affect us each individually, but ruling out other things is not our talent.

Hopefully you do have a doc that you can work with on trying to get this figured out. From the sounds of it though you might want to look for a new one if the current doc is not taking any action to get this figured out. Remember you're the one paying the bill therefore they work for you. (Sorry I stole your line Chutz. lol) I know for myself that there's nothing harder than the not knowing. For me a known opponent is a lot easier to deal with.

Really, I wish you the best in getting this figured out and don't be afraid to come and talk more if we can be of help in dealing with this. Having chronic pain is not easy for anyone and we're all just trying to get by here.

If you haven't I would suggest seeing a GI specialist as your next step as well as a pain management specialist.

It sounds like some of my GERD friends symptoms. They complain of pains like that.
Please see a GI.

I agree with Jim and Joy.... Please see a GI specialist. There are so many things that can cause those symptoms.

Please try a trip to your OB/GYN and see if they will do a transvaginal ultrasound. Sometimes cysts can hide from CT scans. I have it happen to me on a regular basis (my ovary likes to grow its own grapefruits every few months)


Does heat help? Also try getting some tigar balm and rubbing it on the area. It can help a lot with pain and it is nice to have for those times when you just cannot take it anymore.
