 Just wanted to say hi. I have been looking at this site for awhile and seems like a pretty nice and diverse group here. I have post herpatic nueralgia, ramsey hunt syndrome. Been dealing with this for 3 years now and all I can say is pain sucks!!! I am starting to have other problems too, just feeling like I am falling apart alot sooner then I am suposed to lol. I am only 37 and already have alot of health problems. When I started reading your post here, I felt that I found a place that understands me and will not judge me or harrass me out of "love". Any ways HI and looking forward to posting with you allcool

I want to welcome you to the chronic pain forum of Healing Well. I'm glad you've found reading our posts helpful, and also that you decided to join us. Yes, pain is no picnic, that's for sure, and a lot of us seem to get increasing health problems as time goes on. I have to believe at least some of it is due to stress and the chronic inflammation pain causes i the body.

Do you have doctors that you're satisfied with? That's a huge part of the battle, IMHO, and I'm still searching for good PM.

Hello Nervegirl! Welcome to our neck of the woods! You will love it here! You are right about finding the right place to ask questions or talk about your pain. The members here, are fantastic. Keep checking, and posting...and Again Welcome! Are you on any pain meds now, and if so, what are they? Are you seeing a regular Dr for all of your problems? The more information you post, the better our members will be able to direct you.

Welcome nervegirl. This site is a great one and nonjudgemental to boot. I hope to see your posts often and get to know you better. PA Lady and Screaming Eagle have summed up a lot in their posts and I'm sure with your young age and dx's you carry you have had medical attention. Take care I care!

Welcome to Healing Well Chronic Pain Forum, I am glad you have been checking us out for a while, it definitely gives you some idea as what we are all about! I personally think that this forum has the most caring and compassionate people that you will find any where! We all share in having Chronic Pain, we are not Doctors, we can not cure anybody, but we care about you, and we can lend you our ears and we can listen to you and instead of offering sympathy we can do better than that, we can actually give empathy, because we know what you are experiencing we have and are our selves experiencing chronic pain! You are not alone here, we will try our best to ease your burden by sharing in your pain, and possibly giving what advice we can! Again Welcome to our family, I hope you will stay around and actively post, sharing with us not only your pain and frustrations, but also your experiences that can help others!

  Thanks guys for the welcome!! Yes I have a pm doc, he is sending me to another one, as far as meds go I take 40mg of oxycontin am and pm and 20mg of the same in the afternoon. I just lately have come to terms that this is not going away! I am soo tired of the ups and downs of my emotions and wondering everynight if tommorow will be a better day. Agian thanx all

I also take oxycontin 40mg every 8 hours, I think we all have felt the way you do, and many of us still do feel that way. We all want a better tomorrow, and would like to be free of our pain. You are not alone in your feelings, nor your emotions! I do hope tomorrow will be a better day for you and for all of us! Hang in there nervegirl you have friends and family here now that are here to support you when you are down and to celebrate with you when you are up!

Welcome! I've only been on here for a few weeks, but can already promise you that this is a group of people that will look out for you, help you out, and lend a very understanding ear. I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with so much pain. I completely understand that scary realization that this isn't going away anytime soon. I hope that you're able to find some answers with this new PM (if I read that right). Have a good, pain free week!
