Pete how are things going? How are the boys are they coming home for spring break or a summer vacation?

Fatherjohn, how's the stuff going at your job, last you posted was that they might let you go, so I was wondering.
and if your still working too much,.did you get a break with your wife?

Sure Hope you both are okay, but would be nice if you both popped in once inawhile with updates...gives me something to read while I'm still recovering from my pneumonia,
and that I finally have a week with no doctor's appointment just have to get a follow up chest x-ray...and I finally slept in today to 9 a.m.

Will be nice to hear from you.

So sorry to hear about your relaps Chart! That really stinks, just when you think your over it, back it comes! Take it easy and get rid of that bad stuff once and for all!
Sorry I haven't been around lately. My stinking neck has been giving me fits and it seems to really hurt when I'm scrunched over looking at a terminal or typing on the keyboard so I haven't even turned it on for a couple days except for a quick check for e-mails from my boys.
I started wearing my collar again hoping it would help w/ the awful pain but not much relief yet. I would get another tens unit (my last one was stolen from my old job) but I'm broke and can't really aford one. I am just so depressed about it as I'm sure you are w/ your pneumonia and CP!!! It just keeps getting better doesn't it??>>NOT!!
I haven't heard from Father John in a while but I will try to call him tomorrow. I miss and worry about him too!! I'll let Y'all know how he is if he doesn't post back by then.
Please don't think I've forgotten about all my dear friends here, I'm just taking a little break from the board till this crazy neck of mine calms down a little. I just hit my limmit and can't stand it a minute longer so it's off to the heating pad!

I'm pretty new to the boards...but have read a lot of posts by Pete and Fatherjohn....and you guys have gone through so much!...

Totally understand about having a bad spell with pain and just not feeling up to very much...

Pete...I don't know all of your history...so not sure if you see a therapist or not...I have a Pastoral Counselor...who doesn't charge me a dime since I'm without health insurance right now...and over the years..he is always just a phone call/visit away when I am having some difficult times..

It's just so helpful to go and spill everything...all my tears, anger, frustration, etc. dealing with chronic pain...as much as family and friends love me..I just feel that I don't want to complain to them or talk about my pain...so with my counselor...I can do it all, guilt free...haha...And he usually has me laughing by the end of the visit..

Anyway..just hate to see ya having a down time...and will keep you in my prayers...

     Good morning *huggs* I am sorry you are having such a hard time right now. I do hope your neck eases up. Did I ever tell you I rent my tens unit? Pay 50 every .. no wait, 63.00 every three months. Perhaps you can talk to your doctor about that? or perhaps there is some way to buy one used? Just a thought. I hate knowing you are in so much pain. You have such an increadibly high pain tolerence that knowing it is enough to keep you from you day, worries me a great deal!!!!! *HUGGS* I sure hope the collar helps to ease the tension enough so you can get a nap or atleast a little rest in.

Thanks for the nice post! You are lucky to have someone to talk to who really cares about you. I haven't found anyone like that yet. I haven't had much luck w/ shrinks in the past (long stories) but am thinking about going and trying another anyway. You sound like a really nice person and it would be my honnor to be your friend!

Thanks so much for the hug!! I really needed that! Please don't worry yourself about me! You have way too much on your plate to be thinking about me. I'll be fine, I guess I'm just getting to be a grumpy old man! My neck brace is helping the pain some. I think I'm more pissed off about not being able to go fishing w/ this stupid neck / back pain than anything else!



I called Father John yesterday but didn't get an answer. I left him a message and told him that we were all thinking about him. I'll try again today if I don't hear back from him!
