Another visit to the pediatric dentist....

Just thought I would update this post instead of starting a new one.

Did another trip to the dentist today with the kid. Once again he proved how much of a super trooper he is.

Even after all he went through last time with the 4 extractions he did not fight me at all about going back. He was also super cooperative with the dentist and the assistant once again. This time around it was several fillings, a pulpectomy (baby root canal) and several crowns.

He cried a bit on the way home like last time and he didn't want to eat or drink anything until about 7 pm tonight (got out of the dentist at 3pm) but then he drank 3 glasses of tea and at a bowl of soup. By 8:30 he was out after giving him a 1/2 dose of children's ibuprofen since he was saying his mouth was hurting him a bit again.

One more round next week to repair the teeth on the left side (they did all the ones on the right today) and we are done....for a while...a long while I hope.

Btw: I know a few people on here have kids at home. If you have a Kool Smiles near you I highly recommend them for pediatric dental work. They are super great with kids. They have a special training program all their dentists, dental assistants, hygenists, etc have to go through before they are turned loose to work with the kids. You can look the up on the web to see if there is one near you. They have offices all over the country. And for those of you on any type of medicaid they do take that. Some offices even work with adults as well.
