You mention "tingling", it just might be that you have progressed a little bit. When it comes to braces, many children with 25 -30 deg cobb scoliosis need to be in braces. It will help as you finish growing. Will help alot. Also, they arnt big hard cumbersome plastic anymore. Well... Some are. Here this will help...

Most of all dont be afraid to talk to your parents. If you are not sure how to talk to them about, then just leave them both "note" in the morning to have a "family meeting" after supper time. Then you can all talk about it. Your going to want to be able to know "whats really going on" especially now that you are getting older.
If you find it hard to really "connect" with other teenagers you age. Well, that okay too. There are many "support groups" with other boys and girls who just like you. Your doctor will know of one or contact your local university hospital and ask about "support group for parents and kids with scoliosis". I know how important it is to have someone who knows. Besides, someone might know the best places to find clothes that conceal your curves. My mother in law make all my skirts and sweaters. The best shirts are always at target or sears.

P.S. Don't pop your back. Mom is right. It will only make things worse. Instead, ask for a heating pad and use it on low. Also, you can take yoga. Just be sure it is low impact. Might be good way to meet new people too.
