im sorry to hear that things are still not so good i hope you feel better soon. its a good idea to wait on the meds till you find for sure what the tests says i would do the same. then maybe you can discuss other med options. Take care keep us posted Twiggy2

Hey Char, I hope you are finally feeling better. I do not know how you manage as you do with all of the humidity down there, no wonder you are sick alot, poor thing. I am at a loss here on this dr not looking at your MRI until over two months later??? What is up with that? What is your dx for the dr wanting to put you on Methotrexate? I have several friends on on Methotrexate and they have done awesome on it and it allows them to have a life for a change. One recently had to have a total knee replacement done and her dr had her go off of it for a while before surgery and then she resumed it once surgery was over. She said she was so glad to get to go back on it because it helped her so much. I understand the hesitancy but don't short change yourself at getting some relief because of being afraid of what you read. If we all sat down and read about our drugs we would all be terrified to take them. Get to feeling better. Susie

Please please reconsider methorexate. Listen to your doctor. I am on methotrexate and it put me in remission. I also was so afraid of starting this but I want a quality of life vs quantity. It has been a lifesaver for me. a miracle really. I would not be able to function without it.

You will have to have liver tests done but mine have always been OK. If there is a problem starting they will take you off mtx. The liver is one organ that can heal itself.

Even if one person had the side effect they must list it. Even asperin has side effects for some people.  Your diseases can kill you as fast as any side effect.
