ok so i need to learn my limits as to what i can and cant do. i know i shouldnt be doing much of anything but i also know that i need to have excersice in my life to or i will be worse, anyways last week i helped paint  my duaghters bedroom my friend did most of the work, of course afterwards as expected i was in pain. now ive devleop a popping noise in my lower back almost like when you see a chiroprator for and adjusmtment. however ive had it before it;s getting to be happening more often and it causes pain after. Also to last question if got slight pain in my lower tailbone area could it be signs of sciatica thanks in advance to all who reply(( Twiggy2))

My sciatic pain feels like a lightening quick pain pulse that radiates from my buttock down to my calf. My sacroiilitis pains seems to center around my tailbone area. I get a lot of popping in my lower back (my entire back really) and I asked my chiro about it and he said it sounds like my vertebrae are going out of alignment and body is trying to get it to go back in. The more it pops like that, the more it hurts.

Hi Twiggy, well you got caught up in the old glitch all of us do, working now and paying later, such as the life of a CP patient. But, you are correct, you do need to keep moving around as much as you can in order not to cause another set of problems. You may very well have triggered the sciatic nerve, I hope not. Can you get an appt to go in and see your PM dr about this, maybe head it off now before things get out of control?

Boy, do I ever know about the popping. I have it in my neck and low back and fortunately for me it does not increase my pain. But, the noise it makes sounds awful, lol. I hope things settle down for you so that you are not in severe pain. Take care. Susie

thanks for the replies i have seen a PM doc before but it;s been a while cause the injections didnt work so well for me so my primary doc takes care of my pain issues and meds. i see her on the 23rd of August which isnt that far away but if it becomes really bad i can call and get in sooner. it;s so sad that so many people are caught in the CP cycle to many. the pain in my tale bone is more like a throb sometimes sharp but doesnt last long then it goes back to the normal CP im in everyday more so when i do pysical activity. ive been waiting for over a year to get into pyhsio but no luck because our hospital only has one person doing all and there main peopler is inpatient care first which i understand but the wait time for out patients is awful. Anyway i will make a list of the new symtoms with me to my appointment i think i need a new MRI to see what;s going on i know it;s gotten worse. take care all Red nice meeting u straydog good to see u again.

I've had it 3 x's this year. My sciatica feels that pain across my lower back that radiates down my behind cheek, down my (L..always L for mine)leg and wraps around the lower calf to the front of my leg into my foot. My popping is usually from my herniated disc. It is always painfull and popping from having it happen as much? Or I don't know why. I go to urgent care, everytime. They are good at dx it and treating me with cordisone shot and usually predisone, and vicatin. I feel better then do it again 2-3 months later. Good luck and get seen before it does More damage. I hope you feel better. Heather

thanks i know i prob should have gone a while ago when i first noticed things were different but im stubborn and i guess i figured it would go away i think the popping is from my herniations to but our wait time at the ER are very long like 4 hours plus sometimes so i would rather wait till my doc appointment if i can take care nice to meet you.

here's a new issue while i was driving the other day i got severe pain in my left leg and left foot like a bad cramp but worse. Just recently i started driving stick shift and so i have to use my left side to press the clutch. I dont think it would have happened if i was driving regular vehicle but not for sure i assume because im pressing on nerves in by back more cause i have to clutch what if get it again i guess i wont be driving anymore. It was so bad i had to pull over and ask my friend to drive the rest of the way. I dont do car rides well even as a passenger specially long ones im sure alot of people know this one all to well.
