Hey, name's JD. A few weeks ago I was practicing at the local batting cages down here near the University of Texas at Austin where I go to school, when I got caught off guard, and one of the baseballs slammed into my midsection. It came out of nowhere. I immediately dropped my bat, screamed out in pain, and dropped to the ground in tears. It was the most painful thing I've ever felt in my life. I was just laying there and couldn't move because I was in so much pain. Two of my buddies who were there with me had to run in and help me up and out of the batting cage. They took me to the ER, and the doctor told me I was just sore from the force of the ball hitting me. He said to put ice on it.
Now though, a few weeks later, the pain is not getting any better. I can barely walk, I keep getting really bad pains in my stomach too. I have a really pain in my midsection and in my upper legs. I am in extreme pain now when I urinate. I also am having really bad pain when I have sex with my girlfriend, especially when I ejaculate. I have started to walk with a limp now too. I am in so much pain, and it keeps getting worse. The pain is really starting to affect my schoolwork and concentration. I can't even play baseball anymore, which is my passion, because I am in so much pain over this. I'm only 23, so I'm really worried and scared too. I have never felt pain this bad before in my life. I am in so much pain and I've tried every kind of painkiller (Percocet, Vicodin, Tylenol, Motrin, Codeine, etc.), even a shot of whiskey, and it's not helping. The doctor here at UT campus health just keeps saying its normal and to keep putting ice on it. It also hurts when I'm laying in bed too. It's just getting unbearable. Could I have some kind of internal bleeding even? Can a baseball hitting my midsection at a really high rate of speed really do all this to me? I can't handle this pain much longer, and all my doctor keeps telling me to do is put ice on my midsection, which doesn't help.
