Pelvic pain at 20 :( Just looking for some comfort.

about 4 months ago I began having cramps (IBS?) in my lower colon that are there mostly everyday (Bare in mind that I quit smoking, started regularly exercising, and eating healthier) and the cramps still continued. After a while I began having back, hip, leg, etc problems as well as an irritated prostate because the cramps were affecting all of my pelvic structures! ( It feels like there is a golfball in my rectum) ... Anyway, this is my first experience with pain lasting this long and I was just wondering if anyone has any advice. I'm visiting a G.I. doctor on Oct. 25th to see what we can do to break this cramp-pain-cramp goes away- pain is still there- cramp returns cycle.

Hey Drew,

I too have a lot of tummy/pelvic pain. I have Crohns disease so some comes from that but I think most of it comes from Adhesions. Good luck with your appt on the 25th- hopefully you will get some answers. Although, they will probably need to do some tests first so that just means more waiting. But maybe they can give you something to make you a little more comfortable. Keep us posted.

Drew welcome. I am so sorry you are having this pain and hope the GI dr can help you out. You may also want to post on the Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis forums, although you haven't been diagnosed with these diseases. Folks on there have a lot of experience with what you mention and they may be able to help you.

Also, I want to mention something else. Now I don't want to discourage you from posting here, because you are truly welcome, but your name needs to be changed. This is a family friendly forum and we have children here sometimes. While the name you pick is not ultra offensive and we have all heard the expression before, it is inappropriate for this forum.

I hope you will continue to post here and let us get to know you. You will find the people here are truly wonderful and very caring.

I just chose that name to make light of my situation, because well it is somewhat true... lol.

So sorry to hear of your struggles. I keep telling myself God doesn't give me anything I can't handle, and that I am still very blessed. Some days are hard and I feel down but I keep pulling through.
