3:30a.m. and my neck is killing me!

Sorry to whine but I've been up since 2:00a.m. and am in agony! I'm not sure what I did to cause this stabbing pain but I haven't had it this bad in a long time! My lower back has been giving me all the problems and now out of the blue, here goes my neck! I shouldn't say out of the blue I guess cause I always have neck pain from my failed cerical fusion, just not this bad for a while. My meds do Nothing for this type pain. I took a hot shower which helped a little but not for long!

I hate coming on here crying the blues but I have no one to talk to about how badly it hurts! I think lots of you know what I'm talking about! Geeze I hate life when it hurts this bad!!! I only hope I get some relief tomorrow???

Good night or morning depending how you look at it!! I hope no one else is up w/ me now!!!

Hi Pete. Oh, it's terrible when nothing helps our pain and it's the middle of the night! I hope that your pain goes down quickly. I hope that you're already in bed fast asleep.

Mornin Kidos! Thanks for the hugs, they really helped!! I got a couple hours before the pain got me up again. Some is better than none but lack of sleep sometimes makes for a long and sometimes cranky day.
Suz so sorry your head ache is so bad. At least my neck pain goes to managable levels most of the time unlike you w/ that awful head pain. I don't know how you manage!!!!
Thanks Flower! I was fast asleep but woke just about when you posted. Your kind words mean a lot to me!
I have lots of chores to do today, I hope this neck calms down and I don't waist the whole day moaning & growning! I can take my a.m. meds in about an hour and I'm hoping they work evan a little! I think the cold weather might have something to do w/ my pain. I think I'll stay in the house till it warms up today!!!

        I just hate that you are suffering so much latley. Can they adjust your meds for you?

    Just how cold is it down there in FL? I think we had some sleet here in KS somewhere yesterday. shakehead   And it rained all day in our area.

      I have not felt well for quite some time, but yeasterday I did seem better. Hopfully you can stay off your feet for a few, and at least reduce your work load, until the neck decides to give you a break. I missed you at 3:00am, but Suzane is used to staying up most of the evenings, so I was glad that you and her could chat your way through it.

   Hey Brother Pete , You do so much in your every day life that pain could be from any one of the many activities you do daily ! Your always cleaning your yard or cutting down trees or caring for your horses , your amazing bro !!! But take this chance to get some rest man , take it easy for awhile and recuperate , you deserve it ! Feel better soon brother !  your buddy Mikel

Thanks Guys, my neck is a little better after taking it easy for a couple days! I got soooo board sitting around doing nothin but I guess thats what you have to do sometimes! Now my back is going crazy from sitting around! It seems to get much worse if I lay around! I guess it's a "Catch 22" for me!!>> Dammed if I do<>Dammed if I don't!! It's just always something w/ this old beat up body of mine!
SE, sorry that your back is still hurting! I thing a surgery the scale of yours is going to take a long time to heal properly> Hang in there!! It's been in the high 30's & low 40's here at night but warming up to the 70's & 80's in the day! I know, I souldn't complain! I love this weather but it doesn't like me after spending 25 years in South Fla!!!
Mikey, glad to hear from you Bro! You must be dancin a jig by now w that new hip of yours!!! I'm sure you'll be ready for some fishin next Spring when I bring my Mom back up north??? Thanks for the support! Sorry to everyone for not posting much lately! I've been pretty much in a "funk" for a few weeks! Pain, depression, lack of $$ has all taken a toll on me. Guess I need to get back in my sadle soon and get out on the water!! When all else fails>>> GO FISHIN!!!

Hi Pete,

It's been a while since we've "talked". I was hoping you'd be feeling much better by now with most of the moving done. It's one thing after the other, isn't it? I wish I had the answer for you!!

I too am waiting on SSD decisions and I too wake up every night about 2:00 and then every hour from then until when I actually give it up and get up (usually 4:00, sometimes 5:00). I hate that time of the day...it's before any meds can kick in and you feel so helpless in your own body.....pain, pain, and more pain.

With the hand surgery a month ago, I'm just getting back into posting more, but my poor hands are suffering too, so I'll keep this one shorter than my normal novel. I hope you rest better this week my friend.
