have not posted in a while

Hello all,
Just wanted to stop in and give everyone an update. I have been around reading post , but really in no state of mind to chat about pain!!! UGH

As you remember I had the spinal fusion back in February, and was recovering quite well, except for a few bumps in the road. The only pain I really had was right foot and calf pain, that was tolerable with norco. Well the pain started to increase considerably over the last month or so. I have had two epidurals with no relief. Pain has become so severe. Finally bit the bullet and went to see surgeon. He sent me for another discogram. Well let me tell you it was 100 times more painful than the first one. I cried like a baby! Anyway, he has recommended another two level fusion. L5 L4 L4 L3

I did decide to think about it and get yet another opinion. Well, second doctor agreed.
I am now scheduled for surgery mid December.

The pain that I am having is pain that I have never had before.It is hard to funtion during the day. My right leg is week, and because of that, I try not to drive. (need to drive for work) At night the pain hits a whole other level. I cry myself to sleep.

Our company shuts down for a month in December so that is why I am waiting till then. The surgeon wants to do it right away, but do not want it to interfeer with work.

I have been following everyone, and have also read some stories on some new members. I do hope everyone is doing well.

Thanks for letting me vent a little, I feel guilty that I have not posted, but really needed to collect my thoughts. I have not been in a good place at all.

Hydrangea I have put out a post or two asking about you. I remembered an incident where you tripped at the house and hubby insisted you stay home from work the next day and thats the last we have heard from you. I am so terribly sorry to hear another surgery is in the works for you. But, hopefully this time will be the last time. As far as crying over the discogram, most cry during the first one because they are so painful. No more discograms you have had more than your fair share of those. I do hope it all works out for you.
