Hello everyone,
It has been a long time since I have chatted. I had my spinal stimulator put in about 5 1/2 weeks ago and there have been a couple of little complications but overall it has been like a miracle to me. People I haven't seen for a while thought I must be wearing my hair differently or something because I looked different and they couldn't quite put their finger on the change in me. I am so thankful for my wonderful physician and my pain physician who have been so gracious as not to try to decrease the Fentanyl yet. He said that he just wanted me to feel good for a while and I love him for that. I was in Colunbus all day Tuesday and we decided to do the last little Christmas shopping and on the way home I get a call from my Dad that my Mom had fallen again ( Parkinson's Disease) and had sliced her left arm about 8 in. down the outside along the bone and it was a deep cut so they were heading for the hospital. I went there as soon as we got into town and we were there for hours. Long story short....that put me changing my Fentanyl patch over by 9 hrs. and boy was I a mess for about three hours yesterday morning.
I pray that each of you have a very blessed Christmas and if for only a couple of hours be pain free or at least peaceful for a while. I love all of you for your support. I have not had time to read any of the posts but I promise to catch up after Christmas unless my parents decide to make any more hospital runs. :) Love to all.......Nurse2
