I live in a lil rural town about an hour west of Las Vegas; Pahrump, Nevada. It's just outside the Mojave National Park in the middle of the high desert.

The summer heat can reach up to an average of 114 degrees, and in the winter, well yesterday we got 6" of snow. The extreme tempature swings really make me miss living on the coast of California, which is where I grew up, mostly due to pain issues. Who would have ever thought extreme heat can be almost as painful as extreme cold.

i find the heat worse than the cold because you go out a lot and people see my walking is not that great plus i am more active and probably overdo and last but not least i can not breath especially in the hot summer weather humid and filled with pollution and assorted allergens. i do not have sad but i have wit. WIT means WINTER IS TERRIFIC

Well Suzane,

this may be a surprise to you (pleasant?) but I live in a tiny hamlet called Shanty Bay, in Ontario, Canada! I'm just off the North side of Kempenfelt Bay, part of Lake Simcoe. I was actually born in Ottawa and had family there until about 1989.

We're purt'near neighbours!

Shannon already told you we are in nowhereville Nebraska!!! 50 miles to Walmart and 30 miles to the closest fast food joint! I used to like it here.....but I am ready to go home to Colorado! This state is soooo flat and soooo brown! I miss Colorful Colorado and the Rocky Mountains sooo much! My husband and I have been here for 7 years now and originally came here because a lot of his family came here from Colorado! I used to love it, but things have changed a lot since my husbands 2 favorite uncles drowned at the lake here in a freak fishing accident 4 years ago. Anyway... glad you asked this Suzane!! It is nice to see where everyone is form!! Hope your pain is easing some sweetheart!

Thank you so much for responding. Now I have a lot of work to do to get you all marked in my atlas. It is going to be fun to do this.

I hope that one day we can meet up. I am so excited to tell you that I will be meeting with Michael, Pete and Lindaloo at the end of the month. Definitely good healing medicine.

Wouldn't it be great if we could have a Chronic Pain members get together.
Hmmmm you think we could pull this one off?? LOL
