OT Losing sleep but not from CP

It's bad enough that pain disrupts my sleep, but now our neighbors think that 2:20 AM is an okay time to have loud country music playing in their shed while they work on something in there with 3 men, loudly.
It has been going on since 9PM. Other neighbors have asked them to stop, I've heard them. I no sooner fall asleep than someone laughs, turns the music up, or uses a drill that squeals. Their shed is about 60 feet from my bedroom window. If this is going on now and its just spring, what will these people be like in the summer? Does no one consider their neighbors any longer?

So I called the police. They take my name, address, phone, etc, and that was 20 minutes ago. They are still not here. All I want is some quiet so I can sleep! Maybe if I go over there with my hair all a mess like Medusa, I could scare them into their house and get some quiet. It would be faster than the police response anyway.

I hope everyone else is having a better night than I am.

I wish I knew what is wrong with people. We too have been having our share of problems with some neighbors who do not seem to have any concept of respect for anyone else. Instead of loud music or other late night antics our problems revolve around them thinking it is OK to ride their 4 wheel ATV's around the neighborhood and to do so in a very reckless manner spraying dirt and rocks over people's vehicles and homes while making as much noise as possible, not to mention the danger they pose to all the kids who live in the area.

This has been going on for 2 years now and just a few weeks ago the police finally issued them tickets even though they had well over 50 complaints last spring and summer. Of course it is "my fault" they got fined for doing something stupid and illegal. Oh well. I can live with the "guilt"...LOL

I can't stand it when people are loud at night. We have neighbors who get very loud during the summer, because they have pool parties. They play music and have parties til late.

Some people have no regard for others.

    I hope that the police finally showed up to break up the party. I am so sorry you had to deal with that so late at night. I hope you are sleeping right now. Hopefully, you will be able to relax and enjoy your Sunday.

It stopped after 3:00 when the police arrived. I was lucky to be able to fall back asleep after my chat here. Thanks SE and stingray for keeping me company!

These neighbors have lived here since I moved in 10 years ago and this is the first year that this has been occurring. In previous years they were a little loud and you went over and talked to them about it because it wasn't 2 AM. The policeman actually asked me if I went over to talk to them. Who goes over to a neighbor who could have goodness knows who at their home in the dark at 2AM to tell them to be quiet? I would have been told I was insane!

Still, we live in a mobile home park and each person here needs to be considerate of their actions toward their neighbors. Yesterday, we were treated to the closest neighbors behind us screaming at each other obscenities and arguing over something outside! It was a day to have the windows open too.

Its time to install the air conditioners so that I don't have to hear the noisy neighbors. I love spring and summer, but hate the noise and chaos that living so close to others can bring.
Thank you all for the wishes. I took a long nap after church and our huge lunch and wasn't able to check on this yesterday!

Around here it's the neighbors dogs loud barking all night, I hope you don't have
many nights like this and that things settle down. It's ashamed how people
act anymore, people just don't care anymore....Sure hope you can resolve this
somehow.....
