Epidural tomorrow. Scared.

Going for deep spinal epidural tomorrow. Plz prayers and goid thoughts.

Hi BluAngel. I'll be praying for you to have an easy and effective procedure.

Is a deep spinal epidural very different than a normal one? I don't know a whole lot about these kinds of things. I'm still learning new medical terms and procedures everyday it seems.

Anyways, I definitely understand being nervous about these kinds of things. I have a very strong reaction to needles in general, so it's not my favorite procedure either. Let your doctor know how you are feeling when you get there tomorrow. There are many things they can do to help, even without medication. Also remember, when you're done they often give you a snack :-).

It's perfectly ok to be nervous. You will be ok though. And hopefully the shot will help you feel much better long term. Have a good night and let us know how this goes for you.

I have had a few of these, and sugar you will be fine!!! Deep breaths, and relax, again, you will do fine =)

Epi done. Currently paralyzed temp frm waist down 4 pain reliief. Son has carried me all afternoon. Flat of back. Also saw osteopathis surgeon. Refused hosp admit. More tests Wed at hosp 2 confirm dx of osteonecrosis. Great deal of swelling in lower L back/hip. Thk sacral joint ruptured as well. HUGGZ 4 SUPPORT!!!

I hope that the epidural is giving you GREAT amounts of NO PAIN!!! I bet you pulled through like a champ =)

Paralyzation mostly wearing off. Pain still there but not as bad. Will it cont to absorb or something and help more or last?
