I go to my PM today for trigger point injections deep in my pelvis today.
My 1st injection was at the site of my last cyst in January, so it was not very effective for long. Ever hopeful, today is the day I get 3 injections in the muscles in the groin and lowest part of my pelvis to attempt to stop the latest flare of pain and slow down the increasing issues the adhesions are causing. The idea is that allowing the muscles to stretch better with less pain will allow the adhesions to stretch as well and that may end up causing less pain for longer stretches.
At this point I am willing to try anything for pain levels below 8 each day that doesn't cause me to feel woozy. That is the hardest part of pain management for me and dealing with people. I don't look fuzzy to others when I go out, because I don't see people when I am in a fog. I don't want medications that make me feel that constant fog either. So total pain relief is not possible. I don't want to be asleep all the time or unable to do anything around the house because of the fog. Still there are days I dream of no pain again, even with feeling foggy and tired all day.
I hope everyone's week begins as hopeful as mine and that all had a good Easter weekend!

I am happily numb in 2 places! I had 3 injections. One did not take, but the other 2 are still feeling great! Some soreness, because the doctor just jammed a long needle into my muscle and injected anesthetic and cortisone!
This is going to sound silly, but I have carved out some much needed happy time with my fiance in anticipation of these working, and I am not going to let him down today.
Have a good night everyone!

Hi Mindy. It's good to hear that you're good and number. I sure do wish you lots of pain relief from these injections. I sure do know what that pain is about
. I have been going thru it for a week, and I'm so happy that you're getting relief. I hope you have a low pain night, and days and nights to come.
love and hugs
Loretta
