PTA,
I wondered how old your computer is and if you have a verbal typing program hidden in it. Both my laptops (kids killed the first one) had the program on it automatically. It was in the same place that you can make it read the screen to you and get an on- screen keyboard to use with your mouse.
I used the verbal typing program when I tried a year of school a few years ago. It was a bear to get started because it started a little slow, it had to learn my speach pattern, so at first there were a lot of typos. After a while it learned my voice and how i prounouced my words. When I introduced new words i just said it till it learned, fixing the spelling when needed. Eventually i could write a whole page and only use my hands for 2-3 words.
Now that i dont have to write as much I go ahead and type, but now i do most of my internet on my nook (e-reader), so its a lot easier with the touch screen.
So anyway, I thought it might be something you would be interested in. Im sure there are programs you can buy better than the one embedded in the computers, or if you computer doesnt have it. It is also a lot easier if you buy a microphone that you wear, than trying to use one in the computer or a tabletop one. Like the headset type. There are expensive ones, but i found a $9 one that worked just fine.
Congatulations on your SSD.
