Morning to everyone.
Something about bone spurs that may be helpful to any of you who also suffer from this. Because of the way I weight bear, I'm developing pretty significant spurs round the base of the 5th metatarsal on each foot (part way down the outer edges of my feet). The left is complicated by quite bad bursitis as well, and tends to flare the CRPS whenever it flares up.
Shoes/padding isn't an option as I can't wear shoes (which is part of the problem...I can only wear slippers and they just don't have adequate padding), and cortisone injections or surgery (if it came to that point) are not a good option because of the CRPS.
Anyway, I happened to be talking my pharmacist about all this and he suggested a silica/calcium supplement, as apparently this can help with dissolving bone spurs. He's only had ten people use it in six years, but it's worked for everyone who's tried it so I am giving it a go. Unlike so many other treatments we go through, this is one that will do no harm and may just help. Wish me luck!
