Hello Friends of Dex,

I promise after this post I will leave your forum in peace and go back to my anxiety/panic corner of the world;)

I just want to thank everyone for the love and support you have shown Dex and his family at this time. I'm sure your thoughts and prayers are being received by his family and that Dex is very embarrassed by all the love and affection being thrown his way blush

For my part, I want to thank those who came to talk to me in the chat room off and on yesterday - your kindness, patience and support made the day much easier for me. Special shout outs to Buttercup :), auntkay, snowbunny, tmjpain, (hope I'm not forgetting anyone. My excuse is not having slept in 24hours! oops!) - thank you! Getting to talk about Dex was immeasurably helpful.

An extra special shout out to desert who should be inducted into sainthood or something for his wise counsel, tact, kindness, patience and sense of humour. Listening to me for hours - literally - as I could not sleep (and still can't, lol) due to a racing mind and heavy heart. I can't possibly thank you enough, desert! (((hugs))) as you guys say. (I don't think we're as hug prone in a/p - but maybe we should be, lol!) You actually managed to get me to smile and laugh - no easy feat, let me tell you;)

I can only hope to be as supportive to you all as you have been to me - thank you.

Many Sympathies to you...the loss of a good friend can take time to
heal and I do hope you give yourself that time...If you need us we will
be there for you...and I would like to suggest you seek out counseling
as it'll help if this gets to hard on you...I'm sorry I wasn't there for you yesterday.
Prayers, well wishes ans healing hugz to you DarkWolf...
remember you are special too and we all care about you, but sometimes
only time can heal our inner most wounds....

You are always welcome in our corner of the world here :)  I didn't get a chance to write on the other post; but my sincerest sympathies are w/ Dex and those that loved him.  I didn't know him well, but spoke to him a couple of times in chat - and found him to be extremely kind w/ a great sense of humor - despite the extreme health issues he had.  I know he will be missed. 

DW - I'm sorry you have such a heavy heart.... I understand that feeling, as well as the racing mind and inability to sleep (I, too, suffer from a/p).  My thoughts and prayers are w/ you.


Finally - that was a nice "shout out" to Desert :)  I've also spoken to him via chat.... and I agree w/ all you said.  Very wise, patient, funny, etc.  I'm glad that he was there for you!  That's what friendship - and this forum - is all about.


So, again, you are always welcome here.... and thank you for being a great friend to Dex.

Your welcome Darkwolf. You are welcome to come here any time that you need support. I'm also sorry that I wasn't here foryou in the chatroom. I would have been there had I known.

I'm glad that desert was there for you yesterday and last night. You take care and be easy on yourself. I know all about anxiety/panic as I have it also.

       Darkwolf, ...We Thank you for informing us of the loss. It is not easy and is a jolt to the heart when a member passes, and especially if you were close to that person. I myself, understand this all too well, with the passing of another member from this forum several months back.

         Although, I did not know Dex very well, I know by the postings between him and many of our members that he was a special person to many here.

      I too!.. extend my sympathies to all that knew and cared for him. It was obvious he was well liked.

         As stated,... you are welcome here anytime.

Hello Everyone,

Chartreux, thank you for your kind words. Although this is the first time I have lost a good friend, I know that it will take time before I can think about Dex and not tear up and I'm perfectly ok with that - tears or not, thinking of Dex could never be painful :)

Momto8kids, thank you for being so welcoming to me (everyone here has been, actually). I'm sorry to hear you also suffer from a/p and that anyone has to understand the feeling of a heavy heart; but I guess that is simply par for the course of being human. No need to thank me for being a friend to Dex, that had to have been the easiest job in the world!

Thank you 9yrschronicpain:) I'm sorry that among your other issues, you also must deal with a/p - I am lucky in that all my ailments are of the mental variety. Suffering both physical and mental pain cannot be easy. I know many of the members here suffer from both, and I admire your strength - you guys are awesome!

Screaming Eagle, you are welcome...Although I did not enjoy posting the news, knowing that Dex had made many friends on this forum, I would have been remiss to not share what I knew. I am sorry for the loss of your friend and thank you for your kind words.

Everyone on this forum has been unbelievably kind and supportive and I am comforted in the thought that Dex had such a wonderful extended family:)
