Surgery Monday and getting nervous.

Hello Shell, I noticed your posting, and even though you have already gone in for surgery.. I wish you well, and hope all goes well with your healing. Wondering about the update :) As Recently Myself I have been told 'Surgery could be suggested, as I have a bulging disc at my T8/9 and T9/10, and herniated Disc at T11/12 (where a pinch has been found on my t8/9 and T11/12. Also a Disc bulge located at my L1/2 that is indenting my thecal Sac. I have another Bulge in my Cervical spine in C5/6, which slightly flattens the surface cord. This diagnosis has all been gradual over the past year with one MRI, after another, till all the pieces of the Puzzle formed. Now well I am just frightened. As I have 3 kids, (2 of which are still in Grade 1 and 3.) I have read up on things in regards to the surgery.. yet part of me just is uncertain of the path to take, so I have searched for information from those that have had surgery.. to get an idea of how it has worked for them.

Hi... welcome to the board. I saw that you've posted a couple of times....

I'm sorry you are dealing w/ all the pain issues you are - and I know how frightening it can be... especially when you have kids to raise. Many here have been through surgery.... I also wonder what else you've tried.... have any medications helped you? That sort of thing.

I'd really encourage you to start a new thread and post an introduction - so that all members can see it and give you a good welcome... and perhaps share their experiences re: surgery and so forth.
