Hospital and surgery Sunday

Hiya guys

I am popping in to let you all know I am in hospital for my surgery on Sunday. My Dad is picking me up today at 4pm and taking me to stay at his as its closer to the the hospital. I am being taken out for dinner tonight my Mum and Dad to take my off it all, but I am really nervous at the moment. I am sure I will be worse tonight and on my way there tomorrow, how did everyone else ease their nerves before an operation? You may have some good ideas to help me keep my mind active before I go in? I will be taking my lap top to mums and dads so I can come on and talk to you guys later on this evening (that will be UK time though)

So lovely people I will leave you in peace now and I wish you all a love pain day.

Heey Sueueky, just a word to tell you best of luck to you, I cant think of anything I do the night before any surgeries, I read alot, watch tv to much, and do my best to sleep.

Heres the thing, even if you dont get much sleep before your surgery, you will sleep the day of and off and on the days after.

Take a deep breath and exhale...We are right there with you. All of us have suffered anziety prior to any surgery
but just keep thinking that all of us our thinking and praying for you.

Listen to the doctors and rest. When you feel strong enough to post on our website we will be here waiting for you.

you are a dear friend and I hope and pray you have a successful speedy recovery.

I'm also probably too late too. The night before my surgeries, I would just watch t.v. and spend time with family and try to relax...maybe a hot bath? I also would pray a lot right before I got into the OR. That helps me. I'll keep you in my prayers for surgery and for a fast recovery.

Hi Sue....

Things have been so hectic here and I've been exhausted - so I'm way behind. But I just want you to know that I read your post - and wish you a very safe surgery. My thoughts and prayers are w/ you.

I've had many surgeries. My last was my c-section last September. I found distraction worked the best.... followed by medication... :)

Hopefully, the time went by quickly and you are having a safe surgery (I don't know the time difference w/ you - so I"m not sure what time it is there).

Please update us when you are feeling better.... we are all pulling for you!
